Holidays at Disney World 2026: Christmas Lights, Festive Deals, Jolly Fun, and More!

I’m going to be honest with you — the holidays at Walt Disney World are my absolute favorite time of year to visit. And I visit a lot. As someone who has been to Walt Disney World more times than I can count and has spent years personally exploring every corner of these parks for my clients, I can tell you with full confidence: nothing compares to Disney during the Christmas season.

The way Magic Kingdom glows at night. The smell of holiday treats drifting through EPCOT. The “snow” (yes, actual fake snow — in Florida!) falling gently down Main Street U.S.A. while families huddle together with hot cocoa. It is pure, unfiltered magic. Additionally, I genuinely get giddy every time the holiday décor goes up.

So if you’ve ever thought about doing a Disney holiday trip, let me make the case for why 2026 is THE year to go. Moreover, there are deals right now that make it almost too good to pass up.

The 2026 Disney Holiday Deals You Need to Know About

Before we dive into all the festive fun, let’s talk savings — because Disney has released some seriously impressive offers for the 2026 holiday season. I want to make sure you don’t miss them.

Save Up to 20% on Select Disney Resort Rooms

For stays most nights between October 4 and December 24, 2026, Disney is offering up to 20% off select rooms at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. That kind of discount on a Disney resort stay is significant. It opens the door for so many families who want to experience the magic of staying on property — the theming, the transportation, the early park access — at a price that makes a lot more sense.

FREE Dining Plan for Kids Ages 3–9

This one is a game-changer for families. When you purchase a qualifying Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel AND a dining plan for each guest ages 10 and up, kids ages 3–9 eat free with their own Disney Dining Plan.

If you’ve ever priced out food at Disney for a family with young kids, you know how quickly that bill adds up. Getting the little ones’ dining covered is a huge value. Moreover, it means you can say yes to the character dining experiences, the sit-down restaurants, and all those magical meals without the sticker shock.

A note from me: These deals have limited availability and won’t be around forever. Disney holiday trips — especially party nights — sell out well in advance. If this is on your radar, now is the time to start planning, not December.

What’s Happening at Walt Disney World This Holiday Season

From November 13 through January 6, 2027, Walt Disney World transforms into a full-on winter wonderland. Here’s a breakdown of everything you can look forward to — and my honest take on each event as someone who has experienced them personally.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Select nights, November 8 – December 22, 2026

This is the one I get asked about most — and for good reason. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed after-hours event held at Magic Kingdom. In my experience, it is absolutely worth every penny.

Here’s what you get: holiday-themed fireworks, an absolutely spectacular Christmas parade (the floats and lighting are stunning), special character meet-and-greets you simply cannot get during regular park hours, complimentary holiday cookies and hot cocoa throughout the night. Additionally, you get a park experience that feels truly magical because the crowds are significantly more manageable than a regular park day.

My advice? Book your party tickets early. Popular dates sell out fast, and there’s nothing worse than finding out the night you wanted is gone. This is exactly the kind of thing I help my clients plan so they don’t miss out.

Disney Jollywood Nights

Select nights, November 7 – January 5, 2026–2027

I am genuinely obsessed with Jollywood Nights. This Hollywood Studios event has a retro-glam holiday vibe that is entirely its own thing — think glittering lights, festive entertainment, a golden-age-of-Hollywood holiday aesthetic, and a party atmosphere that feels like Disney pulled out all the stops.

And here’s the exciting news for 2026: Jollywood Nights is extending into January for the very first time! November dates are select Saturdays and Mondays. December brings select Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. January events will take place on select Sundays and Tuesdays.

If you’ve never experienced Jollywood Nights, make this the year. It’s become one of the most talked-about holiday events at Walt Disney World. In addition, the January extension means even more flexibility for families who can’t always travel in December.

EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

November 27 – December 30, 2026 Presented by AdventHealth

Oh, EPCOT at the holidays. This is where things get truly special for the food-and-culture lover in all of us.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a celebration of holiday traditions from around the world — and that’s what makes it so unique. You’re not just experiencing one version of Christmas. In fact, you’re exploring Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, and so many more. The food marketplaces alone are worth the trip, with seasonal dishes and drinks representing different countries and cultures.

Add in the Candlelight Processional (a stunning retold story of Christmas narrated by a celebrity guest and accompanied by a full orchestra and choir — seriously, bring tissues), the beloved Merry Menagerie animal puppet characters wandering through the park, and the gorgeous World Showcase all lit up for the season. When you put it together, you have an event that is unlike anything else Disney does all year.

And So Much More Throughout All Four Parks…

The holiday magic doesn’t stop with the ticketed events. Throughout the entire season, all four parks are decked out with:

  • 🎄 Stunning Christmas décor and larger-than-life trees
  • 🍪 Seasonal food and beverage items (the holiday cookies, the peppermint everything — I am here for it)
  • 🎭 Characters in their most festive holiday outfits
  • 🛍️ New holiday merchandise you won’t find any other time of year
  • ✨ Special holiday entertainment across the parks

And don’t forget Disney Springs for your holiday shopping fix — boutique finds, festive atmosphere, and the kind of browsing experience that actually feels fun rather than stressful.

🎁 Why Book With a Disney Specialist?

I know you can Google all of this. You can book directly on Disney’s website, read the forums, and piece together an itinerary on your own. A lot of people do.

But here’s what working with me actually looks like:

I know which resort locations give you the best access to holiday magic. I know which party dates historically have lighter crowds. I know how to build an itinerary that gets your family into Jollywood Nights AND Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party AND the EPCOT Festival without burning everyone out by Day 3. Furthermore, I know how to stack these current deals to maximize your savings — and I’ll be watching for any additional promotions that may be released between now and your trip.

I do this because I genuinely love it. I’ve watched families walk into Magic Kingdom on Christmas Eve and completely lose it with joy. I’ve seen kids meet Santa Mickey for the first time and parents cry happy tears. I’ve experienced every single one of these events personally, and I plan them because I know they’re worth it.
