Hey Disney enthusiasts and Halloween fans! 🎃✨ I recently had the magical opportunity to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the most magical place on Earth, and I’m thrilled to share all the bewitching details with you. If you’ve ever dreamed of celebrating Halloween Disney-style, then keep reading. Plus, I have some fantastic tips to help you maximize your fun!
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party takes place from 7:00 pm and runs through midnight. Ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 pm on the date of their ticket. We always recommend guests get there early so they can get an extra three hours inside Magic Kingdom. The park closes at 6:00 pm for day guests, and in that 6:00-7:00 hour, you will find that it will be crazy busy as thousands leave the park and party guests stream in. It’s generally not as crazy getting into the party if you arrive before 6:00 pm.
This year we loved to see clear signage helping guests with either a regular theme park ticket for the day or a party ticket for the evening.
🍭 Delectable Spooktacular Eats!
Disney sure knows how to whip up some enchantingly delicious treats! This year’s party was no exception, with a cauldron full of both sweet treats and salty delights. From eerily delightful cupcakes decorated with famous Disney villains to savory pumpkin-spiced waffle fries, the food offerings were ghostly fun. A standout for me was the “Haunted Mansion Tart,” a perfectly themed dessert with a rich dark chocolate filling and a stencil of the iconic mansion dusted on top. Don’t even get me started on the “Boogieman Brew” – an exciting concoction that was both a trick and treat!
The Anastasia Cone for $6.79 is new this year! To match Anastasia’s red hair, the cone is made with DOLE Whip Strawberry with lemon curd and strawberry popping candies with a chocolate piece.
You can also grab the Drizella Cone for $6.79! Blueberry fans — this is for you! It’s made with blueberry soft-serve with vanilla crispy pearls and a chocolate piece.
The Madame Leota Séance Candle made with layers of red velvet cake and cookies and cream mousse is also available for $5.99 at Sleepy Hollow! Need a sugary pick-me-up? This is your treat. The red velvet cake was a bit on the dry side and the mousse is very sweet. This isn’t something we’d likely eat again, but we will say the crispy pearls inside were a fun touch!
🎃 Parade of Pumpkins and Stage Frights!
The highlight of the party always includes the special parades and stage shows, and 2024 did not disappoint. The “Boo-to-You Halloween Parade” featured a spectacle of floats with Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best. The gravediggers from Haunted Mansion clanging their shovels in sync to the spooktacular music was thrilling!
The stage shows were equally captivating, with the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” taking the cake. The Sanderson Sisters returned to cast their spell over Magic Kingdom, and they brought along a cavalcade of Disney villains to add to the mischief!
