A First-Hand Look from Wonderland and Beyond Travel!
The latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line Fleet, the Disney Treasure, is ready to make its maiden voyage in December. However, before then, the ship had a Magical media event to showcase all of its new additions to the press before she sets sail, and our travel advisor Marissa was there to see it all!
Yesterday, our very own travel advisor, Marissa, had the incredible opportunity to board the highly anticipated Disney Treasure in New York City! She got an exclusive first-hand look at the ship’s stunning features, innovative dining experiences, and world-class entertainment.
A Treasure Trove of New Experiences
The Disney Treasure is set to redefine luxury cruising. With its elegant design and state-of-the-art amenities, it’s no wonder why it’s generating so much excitement. Marissa was able to explore:
Luxurious Staterooms: From cozy family cabins to spacious suites, the Disney Treasure offers new staterooms with interiors inspired by classic Disney films like The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Alladin.
World-Class Dining: Indulge in a culinary journey with a variety of dining options done in a way only Disney can do, including upscale restaurants, family-friendly eateries, and quick-service venues.
Unforgettable Entertainment: Immerse yourself in stunning Broadway-style shows, live music, and thrilling activities for all ages.
Family-Friendly Fun: Enjoy a variety of activities for the whole family, including water slides, kids’ clubs, and character meet-and-greets.
Experience the Grand Hall
Like others in the Disney Cruise fleet, the Disney Treasure features a unique character statue that brings the ship’s theme to life.
At the heart of the Grand Hall is a life-size bronze statue of Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and Magic Carpet, right at the base of the grand staircase. Surrounding this iconic statue, are even more details found throughout the Grand Hall that are inspired by “Aladdin” and represent the film’s spirit of adventure. Nearby the statue, you’ll spot the magic lamp.
Disney Treasure Dining Experiences
The Treasure will feature Disney’s signature rotational dining experience, meaning they’ll rotate to a unique dining experience every night, and since Disney Treasure is a longer itinerary, there will be two chances to experience each of the entertaining dining experiences.
World of Marvel
Just like the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure will feature its own World of Marvel restaurant. Unlike the Disney Wish, this will feature a brand-new Guardians of the Galaxy dinner show titled, “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.”
1923
The Disney Treasure will include one of Disney Cruise Line’s most beloved restaurants, 1923, named after the Walt Disney Company’s founding year. The dining experience will feature new displays themed to adventure from the history of Walt Disney Animation.
Plaza de Coco Restaurant
The Disney Treasure will feature a new Coco-inspired restaurant! Plaza de Coco will bring guests to the vibrant town of Santa Cecilia, where they can experience a theatrical dining experience themed to the film Coco.
You will also find other Disney Cruise Line favorites like Marceline Market, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods and similar but updated experiences like Jambeaux’s Sweets and new themed walk-up cafes.
Spacious New Staterooms and Suites
The Disney Treasure will feature 1,256 staterooms. 1,133 of those rooms will feature an ocean view, either via a verandah or windows. The staterooms aboard the Treasure will be bright and airy in their decor and design. They are similar to the staterooms on the Disney Wish, but you’ll notice that there are plenty of differences. From new blankets and paintings to updated couches, the Treasure’s staterooms will have a fresh update.
EXCITING New Experience! Haunted Mansion Parlor Materializes
Get ready to be spooked and delighted by the all-new Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure! This immersive bar experience brings the magic of the Haunted Mansion right to the high seas.
Imagine sipping on a ghostly concoction while surrounded by eerie decor and unexpected surprises. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve entered another world.
Features include:
Shifting Portraits: Artwork that reveals details about the captain and his bride.
Ghostly Aquarium: A tank filled with translucent, supernatural fish.
Rolly Crump Tribute: A statue near the fireplace celebrates the Imagineer’s “Museum of the Weird” concept, including details like the melting “Candle Man.”
A special effect in the parlor mirror may surprise guests as the Hitchhiking Ghosts make an unexpected appearance, tying the experience to the attraction’s well-known lore.
